My name is G.S Bankoti and I am the Executive Chef for the Saffron Grill. In 1984, I arrived
in San Francisco and was amazed with the beauty and slender of the city and its various
restaurants. At the time, there were very few places serving Indian cuisine and so I thought
that this city would give me the perfect opportunity to share what I had learned from the
culinary masters of India. I worked for 22 years with other restaurants such as New Delhi
and Gaylord until I finally decided to open my own restaurant. The Saffron Grill is a small
but quaint family owned restaurant, yet I think it is big enough to fulfill my dreams and
satisfy your appetite.
Hours:
Sunday to Thursday -- 5:00pm to 10:30pm
Friday and Saturday -- 5:00pm to 11:00pm
